At Museo della Scienza, famous artist Cai Guo-Qiang presents hand-made reconstructions of machines designed by Leonardo da Vinci, created by inventors from different Chinese rural areas. On our trip to the Far East, why not stopping by at Sake Festival @ Chiostri dell’Umanitaria and Urban Center?
There, a lecture will showcase the beauties of Osaka. If you want to take a leap into the Middle Ages, come to Castello Sforzesco for Gran Galà di Scherma (fencing gala): Italy challenges the rest of the world to a duel with three weapons!
In nearby Teatro dell’Arte @ Triennale on stage is Letter to a man, a theatrical performance by Bob Wilson starring Mikhail Baryshnikov. And if you never get tired of Leonardo, you can admire some fragments of Codex Atlanticus at Biblioteca Ambrosiana and Santa Maria delle Grazie thanks to exhibition La mente di Leonardo. Leonardo stayed many times in Vaprio d’Adda, and this little town offers him a tribute organising a Historical Parade.
Naviglio Grande, the canal Leonardo studied for his waterways project, will host Granfondo di nuoto, a swimming race from Abbiategrasso to Milan. If you are not in shape for that, don’t worry! You can follow the swimmers on your bikes! But before that, check out cycle workshop Bici, ti aggiusto io located at Rotonda della Besana.
