It’s late autumn in Milan but it’s still springtime in Darsena thanks to JellyFish Barge, a floating greenhouse for hydroponics that uses solar energy to filter water! Water is the protagonist of Water Art too, an exhibit showcasing the artworks of sculpture students at Accademia di Brera.
Art meets city planning at Politecnico thanks to Milano città immaginata. On display are architectural projects that were never built and therefore portray an alternate Milan. It’s easy to move from architecture to design, especially in Milan! Milano Design Film Festival awaits us at Spazio Oberdan, whereas in the old town centre the futuristic project Design Circus/Green Design, features ecofriendly objects made discarded waste materials. If you prefer less alternative events, Falstaff at Teatro alla Scala is a must go as is the 24th edition of Festival Milano Musica, inspired by Bruno Maderna. There are many initiatives for sport lovers too. On 9th October come and run with us to raise funds for Lilt at Milano loves you run. On 11th October, the extraordinary run DeeJayTen is back in Milan. But if you were waiting for autumn to relax and read a good book, Milan a place to read will help you learn more about Milanese authors and publishers and meet fellow book lovers.
Well, chestnuts are already crackling on the fire… and #ExpoinCittà wishes you a fun autumn in #MilanoaplacetoBE!
