This week let’s start with the metropolitan area. Festa della Magnolia in Inzago offers traditional food and music, from folk to pop, whereas Ecoismi is a wonderful idea to get some fresh air: 16 installations in the area between rivers Adda and Martesana.
But, wait… the countryside has invaded Milan too! Porta Nuova futuristic district hosts Festa del Raccolto – Wheatfield, and, if you want to go even greener, Verde Verdi is what you are looking for. It’s a mini-series of events in Milan retirement home for musicians and Villa Necchi Campiglio, dedicated to the great composer Giuseppe Verdi and… agriculture!
Moreover, don’t miss La Milanesiana Festival: literature, music, cinema, science, art, philosophy and theatre. And if you feel hungry after this cultural experience, pop into Neapolitan Street Food in via Benedetto Marcello to taste incredible delicacies! At Spazio Oberdan you will find the photographic exhibition Ieri Oggi Milano, which tells the story of the city from the post-WW2 period up to now through the pictures of 40 photographers. And why not see one of the films of the Hong Kong Martial Arts Film Programme? Or you can try Japanese exhibition Art Aquarium at Circolo Filologico, where aquariums become extraordinary pieces of art by Hidetomo Kimura.
That’s going to be quite a summer, doesn’t it? #MilanoaplacetoBE!
