From 22 to 25 October, Bookcity is back in town with a rich programme: talks with authors, readings and exhibitions in multiple locations. Waiting for the international popstars for Europe Music Awards, Milan hosts the Mtv Music Week, a whole week dedicated to music with free concerts in via Corsico area. And for music to really invade Milan, Palazzo Reale presents the conference about live music regulations Musica Viva.
Art centre Fabbrica del Vapore hosts Mediterranea 17, the Biennale of young artists from Europe and the Mediterranean. There are also a lot of exciting performances. Just to name a few, Circus El Grito in Largo Marinai d’Italia and Newsies at Teatro Barclay, a successful Broadway musical inspired by the paperboys’ strike in 1899. Design is the protagonist of the award Compasso d’Oro, which, for the first time, has an international section.
The curtain falls on Teatro alla Scala’s special season with Gala des Etoiles, which symbolically embodies the spirit of Expo and gathers on the scene many international ballet étoiles.
