The Milan Center for Food Law and Policy is first of all an archive that gathers public law and private law documents addressing the right to food. Documentation is available for everyone to see in order to inform people about what sovereign states and international organisations are doing to defend this inalienable right.
The Centre will soon host events to raise awareness and inform people on such issues as malnutrition, hunger and the right to food. It will also be a think tank to provide guidance for new regulations.
Cooperation between public bodies and citizens is paramount to tackle the issue of food scarcity. Cooperation is also one of the pillars of Expo 2015. Cooperation to build something that will live beyond the six months of Expo. Something that will make the world a more secure place, starting from the right to food. A right for everyone, anywhere on Earth.
